COURT ASSISTANT

Job Location: Wichita, KS

Department: SJV LTC NURSING

Shift: 8 Hour Day Shift / Hours: 40 FTE: 1

Job Summary:
The Court Assistant is required to perform cleaning and sanitation procedures in resident's rooms bathing area lounge dining kitchen and ancillary support areas in accordance with established procedures to assure that the highest degree of cleanliness and sanitation is maintained at all times. The Court Assistant will also serve residents by assisting in preparing and serving of meals documenting meal/stack intake and maintaining adequate inventories of food and cleaning supplies on the Court. Additional responsibilities include proper handling use and storage of chemicals supplies and cleaning equipment.?

Essential Job Functions:
50% Food Service - Assist in preparing and covering food and the restocking and refilling of food and kitchen items. Assist in dining room including preparing and serving plates setting and busing tables serving beverages desserts documenting meal intake and other items as needed.Scrape soiled dishes place dishes into dish machine sort clean dishes transport dishes to storage area maintain steady work pace to produce an adequate supply of clean kitchen utensils and dishes. Document food dishwasher and refrigerator temperatures and report any variations from normal to Maintenance.

50% Housekeeping -
Vacuum/sweep/mop resident rooms and common areas as assigned and empty trash where needed. Clean/dust/disinfect surfaces and fixtures in resident rooms and common area as assigned. Clean and makes beds as assigned. Perform thorough cleaning of vacant rooms to assure they are ready for occupancy. Restock supplies in resident and common rooms such as paper towels toilet paper can liners soap food items from the pantry/refrigerator and other items deemed important to Court or Department functioning. Maintain strict confidentiality of all resident information. Provide a safe environment by the proper use of caution signs proper chemical use and storage reporting hazardous situations and broken equipment proper use of equipment and supplies and knowledge of fire and disaster procedures.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities
:
One to two years kitchen laundry and/or housekeeping experience preferred. Must have excellent communication skills be able to cope with mental and emotional stress related to the position function independently have flexibility and personal integrity. Employee must demonstrate on an ongoing basis the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with co-workers and department heads.

Education/Certification: Prefer a High School Degree or equivalent but is not required.

Shifts Availabe:
6:00am - 2:00pm or 4:00pm-8:00pm
