Job Location: Stokesdale, NC
Description:
Operate and maintain all equipment and facilities at a state of the art Liquefied Natural Gas peak shaving plant, including high voltage motor driven reciprocating, centrifugal, and screw compressors and their ancillary equipment (pumps, heat exchangers, filters, instrumentation and controls, etc.), GE Fanuc control systems, piping, boilers, valves, storage tanks, air compressors, auxiliary generators, molecular sieves, heaters, etc. Maintain and/or operate a short section of pipeline including valves, piping, right-of-way, inspection of third party activities, and one meter station. 12-hour shift work will be required from approximately 30% to 60% of the time.
High school diploma required. Associate's or two-year technical school degree in mechanical, electronic or related field preferred, but equivalent work experience will be considered. Individual must be self-motivated with a willingness and ability to work unsupervised. Natural gas or plant maintenance experience preferred. This position requires participation in the Operations Development Plan (ODP). Must possess adequate PC skills.
Physical Requirements:
Standing/walking, climbing stairs, ladders, scaffolds; bending/stooping/squatting; carrying and lifting items which sometimes weigh more than 45 lbs.
Working Conditions:
Exposure to extreme weather conditions, and high noise levels and high elevations.
