Sr. Accounting Analyst (Property)
Job Location: Tulsa, OK
Description:
This position will be responsible for understanding property accounting policies and procedures and providing guidance on property-related issues within the Williams Exploration & Production (E&P) segment. Additionally, the position will be able to ensure that property-related accounts are in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
To that end the candidate will be responsible for:
*Providing subject matter expertise for E&P property
*Understanding the development, implementation and execution of property controls
*Assisting with the monthly closing process including the review and analysis of property related charges.
*Serving as a liaison between the propertytransactional accounting group and E&P functional departments as needed in order to properly resolve accounting issues.
*Accumulating information necessary to complete SEC filings and assisting with quarterly reviews and the year-end audit.
*Updating annual information and providing expertise associated with asset retirement obligations.
*Working closely with our reserve engineers in order to timely update reserve capacities.
*Understanding and assisting with the review of multiple account reconciliations.
*Assisting with ad-hoc requests and special projects, as needed.
*Five to seven years experience with an exploration and production company, preferably with property accounting experience.
*Bachelors degree in accounting or finance
*Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects and properly prioritize such tasks in order to efficiently complete assignments.
*Self-starter with the ability to meet defined goals.
*Ability to work with all levels and divisions within an organization
*Strong oral and written communication skills.
