Corporate Industrial Hygienist

Description:
Williams, a diversified energy company, has a Corporate Industrial Hygienist position available within its Corporate Environment, Health and Safety (EH&S) Group located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This position will support all business unit operations and facilities and will have frequent interface with business unit operations and EH&S professionals. This role develops, recommends and implements programs and procedures for monitoring and preventing chemical, physical and biological hazards and diseases in company work areas. Participates in monitoring the organization's health standards in accordance with OSHA, MSHA, EPA, NRC, DOD, DOE and state programs. Works under very general direction. Independently determines and develops approaches to solutions. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.
Additional responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
- Provide technical expertise and consultation to business units in matters related to industrial hygiene.
- Evaluate work sites and provide technical support to ensure health hazards have been properly anticipated, identified, assessed, and controlled.
- Execute business unit annual workplace exposure sampling plans in support of the Enterprise Industrial Hygiene Standards.
- Monitor emerging legislative and regulatory issues related to industrial hygiene and assess appropriate measures for implementing changes as appropriate.
- Assist business units with continued implementation and maintenance of core elements of the Enterprise Industrial Hygiene Standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned within the Corporate EH&S Group.
This position will be filled at the posted level and within the salary range if commensurate to the experience (i.e., skills, knowledge, & abilities) of successful candidate; however if unable to be filled at this level, the position may be filled with a respective competitive market based on the experience of the selected candidate.
