Responsibilities
This position is responsible for the continuous evaluation and optimization of the gathering systems (gathering, processing and facilities) to result in immediate value to E&P. It will have direct responsibility for E&P's interest and equity exposure in gathering pipelines, compressor stations, dehydration, gas-processing plants, fractionation, treating, and pumping stations. Proactively forecasts the investment necessary to insure capacity. Responsible for economic evaluations, optimizing systems, and working and communicating with production engineers.
Will be project manager for gathering and compression facility construction. Will assist in checkout and startups of field facilities. Environment provides a dynamic situation and must be proactively managed. Challenges include working in areas with rugged terrain, right sizing of gathering and production infrastructure to insure that plan volumes are effectively delivered to market and resulting in preservation of investment economics and present value. Overall addition of this position will assist in strengthening our capabilities in asset management.
Candidate must be able to understand our active drilling program in the Appalachia basin and continuously monitor the situations. Will work with Production Engineers to optimize wellhead and gathering system pressures to maximize production. Line pressure reductions and resulting incremental uplift must be carefully analyzed to reflect accurate economics and facilitate good business decisions. Gathering system modeling is a key component. Producing areas in the Appalachia Basin will require significant facilities experience in the areas of gathering, transmission, dehydrating, compression, processing, treating, automation and system modeling. Position will also assess constraints and make recommendations concerning areas curtailed by transmission capacity issues in addition to wells shut in waiting on pipeline. Candidate will support A&D efforts in evaluating prospects relative to gathering impacts. These impacts will include estimates for gathering capital, operating expense estimates, fuel and shrinkage, liquid recovery, third party fees, and timing.
Candidate will provide technical gathering support to Production Operations, A&D, Gas Management, Planning, EHS, and Accounting as it relates to the Appalachia Basin.
Qualifications
Position required a bachelors degree in engineering and 5 - 10 years relevant experience. Will need to work well in a team environment. Must be able to deal with multiple projects and changing priorities.
