Responsibilities
Provides EH&S technical services for E&P operations in geographical area of responsibility including compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
The position is based in Pennsylvania and incumbent reports to the Regional Sr. EH&S Manager. The successful candidate for this position will conduct environmental analysis and monitor/assure compliance with environmental and safety regulations including: water and air quality, waste management, community right-to-know, and etc. Obtains water discharge, stormwater, pit, pond, and salt water injection permits and develops their associated plans. Participates in air quality compliance management and green house gas initiatives, regulatory reforms and initiatives regarding environmental and safety regulations that affect operations, manages drilling environmental programs, conducts field EH&S inspections, and prepares and files governmental EH&S reports in areas of assigned responsibility. Conducts environmental, health and safety training as necessary for their area. As requested, performs public affairs and governmental relations functions as they relate to EH&S within E&P. Overall, is responsible for developing and implementing procedures, training and tools to ensure regulatory compliance is maintained. Responsibilities include standard regulatory reporting, tracking and corporate reporting of environmental and safety related performance metrics. Represents Williams on trade organization environmental matters, and assists with environmental due diligence for acquisition and divestiture. Must assist with development and maintain compliance with E&PWAY programs and improvement efforts. Participates in the contractor review programs.
Occasional Physical Demands:
Light lifting.
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or Hydrology with a preference for a Masters degree. Candidate should have strong safety and E&P background. Position requires a minimum of 10 years experience in EH&S field. Individual will lead projects and ultimately could lead a team so preference will be given to individual with previous leadership experience. Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.
