Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be assigned the role of Sr. Project Manager for Williams Mid-Stream Gulf Coast Engineering and Construction Group. The senior project manager position will focus on the development and implementation of projects in the Gulf Coast Region that will complement both Williams' existing onshore and offshore assets and future growth areas. The role will include interaction with Williams' Midstream Commercial Group, Williams' Midstream Operations, Williams' Subject Matter Experts (SME's) and outside vendors in developing and implementing contracting strategies.
The Sr. Project Manager will need to have skills to: participate in the evaluation of projects, develop estimates, and project scopes, lead contracting efforts and third party design activities, effect the procurement of materials, manage and control the implementation of projects, complete the construction, commissioning, start-up and documentation of projects, participate in the planning for training and maintenance needs of projects.
The interpersonal skills needed in this position will include: function in a core project team, lead other specialist and team members through the project, manage and communicate change in a project, inform stakeholders and meet the project success metrics, be able to handle multiple projects of varying complexity simultaneously.
The senior project manager will be utilizing the Williams processes including Project Life Cycle (PLC), the System Integrity Plan (SIP), and others to scope, estimate, design, construct and administer commercial and maintenance projects that will add value to Williams' bottom line. Type of projects include: offshore and onshore pipelines both oil and gas, offshore structures, separation, dehydration, treating, measurement and processing facilities. These assets have a variety of ownership and operatorship arrangements. The Project Manager will coordinate key functions with internal and external technical resources under the guidance of PLC and SIP. The project manager will have the overall responsibility for the initiation of a project from the conceptual idea through the development of a detailed scope.
Qualifications
Minimum of ten years project management related experience in the industry with extensive project management experience on large asset-intensive capital projects is required. The candidates' must have experience with offshore pipelines and facilities, onshore gas gathering and processing is required. Computer experience with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Projects, PowerPoint, Excel Work products and an ability to learn additional software products is required.
Education Level
Bachelor of Science degree in engineering is required.
PMP certification and PE license is preferred.
This position will be filled commensurate with the candidates' level of experience.
