Description:
The successful candidate for this position will support the Denver Region Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Department with air quality compliance activities including associated information management, compliance coordination and reporting. Compliance coordination with field operations requires understanding of oil and gas drilling and field production operations.Other responsibilities include coordination and scheduling of required testing, sampling, monitoring, field inspections, data gathering; and record keeping pursuant to Colorado Revised Regulation 7, and the Colorado Oil & Gas Conservation Commission¿s (COGCC) odor and dust rules. The position will also assist in responding to any air or nuisance concerns or complaints that the company may receive in the area. Coordination between Operations and other EHS staff requires understanding of air quality compliance issues and individual, site-specific permit requirements as they are issued.This position will be located in Parachute, Colorado; and will report to the Air Quality Compliance Lead in Denver. The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with other EHS staff, field operations staff and consultants to maintain data and documents related to permitting, compliance, and company performance metrics. This position will involve all aspects of data and document management including data entry, data analysis, reporting, and records management. This position includes regular travel to field facilities in the Parachute area, as well as occasional trips to Denver for meetings and other functions..
Requirements:
Preferably have previous experience in stack testing, monitoring, sampling, inspections of Oil & Gas facilities, data gathering, information management and record keeping. A strong aptitude in math, advanced skills with MS Excel, a moderate level of understanding of relational databases, and advanced query skills are expected. Additionally, the successful candidate must also be able to effectively communicate in both written and verbal formats. The successful candidate should be familiar with chemical, physical, operational data; and be able to quickly comprehend an unfamiliar data set. Knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations is not necessary in depth, but a working knowledge of basic environmental requirements is a must. A Bachelor's degree and/or a Master's degree are preferred; and experience at an operating facility in the Oil & Gas or petroleum industry is a strong plus. This position requires a motivated, hard-working, team player with attention to details and strong organizational, people and communication skills. The successful candidate must be able to take ownership of projects with a small amount of direction and be accountable for their successful completion. Possession of a current valid Colorado driver's license with no serious violations is mandatory.
