Required hours per 4 week schedule
PRN I - Works 24 hours per 4 week schedule; works 1 week-end shift per schedule.
PRN II - Works 48 hours per 4 week schedule; works 24 week-end hours per schedule.
PRN III - Works 26 week-end shifts [24 hours per week-end] per year.
PRN IIIA - Works 3 of 4 weekends - [24 hours per week-end] per 4 week matrix. The weekend off is based on unit staffing needs.
PRN IV - Works every week-end [24 hours per week-end] with 2 week-ends off per year
Qualifications:
Must be an experienced PA licensed Registered Nurse with CPR Certification and have or obtain BCLS certification.
Responsibilities:
Under the general supervision of the Nurse Manager, provides professional nursing care at the beginner practitioner level within an assigned unit according to established procedures, protocols and regulations. Coordinates care planning with other disciplines. May require specialized skills depending on unit assignment.
Department:
B1 is a 26 bed Medical/Surgical/Pediatric Unit providing care to a variety of illnesses. Nurses on B1 work together in a family type atmosphere to provide the most optimum care to our patients. Our typical patient to nurse ratio is 1 to 5. Because we are a community Hospital part of a larger system, we take great pride in being able to provide many learning opportunities for our nurses such as insertion of PICC lines and completion of a oncology course as well as BSN courses on site.
