Directs all business risk insurance, retirement and profit sharing plan activities, and management of the global trade credit functions. Leads the annual business risk insurance evaluation and renewal process. This includes the management of outside brokers and the in-house risk administrator. Responsible for all aspects of the 401K retirement plan administration and the companys profit sharing plan. Responsible for developing and administrating a global corporate trade credit policy and set of procedures to assure proper risk management controls are in place and followed. Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of global business risk through various insurance instruments. Scope of insurance coverage includes product liability; transit liability; aircraft liability & hull; fire; workers compensation; director & officer (D&O) insurance; automobile; general liability; umbrella / excess; crime, fiduciary, and special crime (kidnap and ransom); and hangerkeepers liability. Develop annual expense budgets and forecasts.
Administer the insurance renewal process. Negotiate annual insurance policy premiums and policy coverage through insurance brokers. Evaluate performance of existing insurance brokers to assure performance, service, and pricing are consistent with desired expectations. Gather market intelligence from existing and new insurance brokers in addition to professional development initiatives to assure policy premiums and brokerage commissions are competitive with changing market conditions. Researches risk / return metrics in determining potential changes needed in policy coverage and deductibles.
Analyze, quantify, and measure the financial impact of risk on the company. Establish policies and procedures required to manage risk activities effectively and efficiently. Manages and implements approved programs and policies to minimize loss; perform contract reviews relating to insurance requirements.
Manage and direct the administration of risk policies and information reporting systems needed to provide data for internal and external requirements, including compliance with state, federal, and/or county regulations. Collaborate with operations and support services functional leaders to assure appropriate business risks are captured and covered.
Participate in quarterly workers compensation claims review with broker, insurance carrier, and internal staff. Provide direction and approval of open workers compensation claim settlements.
Manage all aspects of the companys 401(K) retirement and profit sharing plans. Serve as the fiduciary and Chair of the Retirement Plan Committee; ensure appropriate processes and systems are in place to comply with the plan document and all applicable regulatory reporting requirements; and assure compliance with ERISA and other applicable laws. Spearhead the Retirement Plan Committee functions, including quarterly fund performance review from portfolio manager, quarterly participant statistics reporting from the record keeper / plan administrator, periodic review and modification of plan language using outside legal counsel, and execution of all necessary administrative functions (e.g., non-discrimination testing, roll-out of plan changes to participants, approval of correspondence to participants, and periodic fund replacements and associated fund mapping requirements).
Establish, monitor, and manage the administration of the global customer credit policies and procedures to assure proper customer risk management controls are in place and followed throughout the organization and across the domestic and international business units.
Develop and manage appropriate customer trade credit rating criteria, credit limits, risk analysis, reporting, and systems. Formalize the frequency and criteria for key customer credit review processes; assure credit risk is linked within the operating systems to assure maximum credit limits are applied cumulative across all business units and system linkage is established to assure approval and override authority is aligned and applied consistently with the established policies and procedures.
Review organization, staffing, training, and development plans to ensure that they are consistent and adequate for attainment of the functional goals encompassed in this position.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: DIRECTOR RISK MANAGEMENT
Formal Education, Training, Professional Certification and Work Experience: Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics from an accredited four-year college or university combined with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience with a history of progressively increasing levels of responsibility is required. A Master of Business Administration from an accredited graduate business school program is strongly preferred. Five (5) or more years of experience directing the risk management area of large private or publicly-traded companies is strongly preferred.

Standard Job Requirements: Must be able to arrive at work on time, work on-site, and attend regularly.
