Summary Statement:
Manages and provides oversight of activities of assigned personnel and implements and administers policies and procedures as delegated by management. Provides leadership to institutionalize the processes of Continuous Improvement in accordance with organization goals and objectives. Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:
Accomplishes results through direct reports and staff working within established organizational objectives. Performs typical responsibilities of management requiring planning, evaluating, organizing, integrating, and coaching. Work is reviewed for adequacy in meeting cost, schedule and quality objectives.
Provide oversight of and lead the development, documentation and coordination of project management and planning oriented activities in response to customer inquiries for quotations that achieve company and customer requirements. This objective includes both new and existing processes with the objective of institutionalizing robust business and technical plan development.
Develop and create procedures, for communicating business and technical plan requirements to relevant functional groups, and which accurately describe the organizational resources required to achieve project financial goals as well as project schedules and project compliance requirements.
Develop, in conjunction with appropriate functional leaders, a system to solicit, accept, and process feedback regarding customer acceptance or lack of acceptance of submitted quotations. .
Manages the product estimating and planning functions in support of new product and sustaining product initiatives.
Prepares annual departmental expense budget in response to and in support of organization's strategic marketing plan. Supports budgeting appropriations for specific programs with annual appropriations for anticipated divisional program introductions.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: MANAGER ESTIMATING
Formal Education, Training, Professional Certification and Work Experience: Bachelor Degree in Engineering or other appropriate discipline from an accredited four-year college or university and eight (8) or more years related experience and training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Standard Job Requirements: Must be able to arrive at work on time, work on-site, and attend regularly. Must be able to read and write the English language, perform basic mathematical calculations and learn to interpret and comprehend company policies, procedures, safety instructions, and other like documents used in an aerospace manufacturing environment. Competent in the use of standard software applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel and operate standard office equipment. Make telephone and direct personal contact with internal and external personnel and make formal presentations to small or large groups. Perform work of subordinates.
Special Job Requirements: Use and application of learning curves to aerospace manufacturing Understanding of statistical analysis; use of Monte Carlo simulation Basic analysis of financial statements and mastery of basic financial acumen Proficient in use of Enterprise Resource Planning systems (especially SAP)
Special Training: Safety training applicable to the job and the general work area. Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the Stakeholder is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The Stakeholder frequently is required to move from one place to another. The Stakeholder must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus. Travel between facilities. Must be able to work in excess of eight (8) hours per day and five (5) days per week, if required. NRD: Must be able to ascend and descend stairs. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the stakeholder is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Mental Requirements: Able to work as a team member, highly organized, work well under stress and handle multiple priorities. Must possess interpersonal and communication skills to interact with other people inside and outside the company.
