Summary Statement:
Applies extensive knowledge of principles, theories, concepts and industry practices to develop and maintain a master production schedule (MPS) for manufactured and repair assemblies. Utilize industry knowledge and understanding of manufacturing and repair processes to develop schedule. Ensure component materials are aligned with MPS. Overlook shop floor control function by supervising personnel and by developing and maintaining associated processes and procedures for assigned areas. Identify and prioritize production requirements and materials required to achieve schedule.

Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:
Develops solutions to a variety of complex and unusual problems that require independent judgment and ingenuity to modify procedures standards related to scheduling and coordinating the flow of parts, material and work within or between departments. Work is accomplished under general direction and completed work is reviewed for results.

Analyzes shortage reports, examines resource constraints and works with production supervision to develop and maintain a master schedule for assigned products. Attend production/scheduling meeting for work cell to obtain latest data concerning assigned products.

Work with shipping department to provide projected ship list for assigned products so transportation requirements can be obtained.

Develop, implement and maintain key performance indicators regarding the scheduling function and present findings to management as required .Recommend solutions to continually improve scheduling methodology.

Confer with production leadership to determine the effect of insufficient labor, parts and material shortages on schedules. Maintain production schedules for maintenance and repair end items in all applicable systems. Ensures component required dates are synchronized with end assembly schedules to meet the production needs of the cell and to send the correct signals to the Purchasing Group

Work closely with MRP controllers concerning forecasting and master production scheduling to ensure system configuration will support schedule and components requirements.

Responsible for supervision of assigned shop floor control specialist. As required, develop, implement and maintain departmental guidelines, policies and procedures concerning shop floor control and scheduling.

Confer with department supervisors and review production schedules, work orders, departmental production schedules and related information to determine material requirements, identify overdue materials and to track material for assigned production department.

Work with Engineering & Production Supervision to address and eliminate parts and material constraints that will affect the completion of the job per schedule.

Ancillary Job Functions and Responsibilities:
This position may provide administrative and technical leadership over other Stakeholders in the department. Perform other duties as required. These duties may include assignments in job classifications other than the primary assignment.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: PLANNER SENIOR PRODUCTION - NRD

Formal Education, Training, Professional Certification and Work Experience:
Bachelor degree in an appropriate discipline from an accredited four-year college or university and five (5) years related experience and/or training. A combination of education and experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.

Level of Supervision Required:
Works under general direction. Receives guidance as to results expected and to resolve complex problems. Exercises latitude in determining activities and approaches within moderate to wide parameters.

Standard Job Requirements:
Must be able to arrive at work on time, work on-site, and attend regularly.
Must be able to read and write the English language, perform basic mathematical calculations and learn to interpret and comprehend company policies, procedures, safety instructions, and other like documents used in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
Competent in the use of standard software applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel and operate standard office equipment.
Make telephone and direct personal contact with internal and external personnel and make formal presentations to small or large groups.
May perform work of lesser skilled employees.

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the Stakeholder is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk and hear. The Stakeholder frequently is required to move from one place to another and reach with hands and arms. The Stakeholder must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus. Travel between facilities. Must be able to work in excess of eight (8) hours per day and five (5) days per week, if required. NRD: Must be able to ascend and descend stairs.

Work Environment:
Must be able to tolerate exposure to dust, fumes, noise, temperature and other elements in the shop
area, if required. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Mental Requirements:
Able to work as a team member, highly organized, work well under stress and handle multiple priorities. Must possess interpersonal and communication skills to interact with other people inside and outside the company.
