Responsibilities:
Responsibilities for this position include providing engineering and technical support to the nine field telecom specialists working on the Northwest Pipeline telecom system and managing telecom projects associated with the design and implementation of the complex communication networks that are used for SCADA, automation, voice, security, and business applications.

Project work may include all or part of the following: develop a detailed scope of work, preparation of expenditures, expenditures forecasting, acquisitions, equipment specification review and developments, bid evaluations, RF  engineering and path design, installation drawings, budgeting, FCC filings, FAA filings, and site development plans. 

In addition this position is responsible for the selection, design, installation, troubleshooting, and performance of the existing Northwest Pipeline telecommunication system.  Manage and evaluate telecom programs and perform normal engineering services (e.g. transmission design, circuit designs, software applications, telecommunication network and architecture designs, optical network designs, HVAC, site capacity calculations, site and tower grounding designs, battery load and capacity calculation, AC/DC circuit designs, power generation and load designs, solar panel load and capacity designs). 

This person is also responsible to provide engineering input into long-term strategic planning activities for telecommunications development and implementation as it relates to voice, video, security, and data acquisitions.  Analyze and provide management with information on availability and pricing of telecommunication technology and services; Negotiates specialized telecommunication agreements for the company for both services required and services rendered.  Applies for all FCC licenses, and monitors compliance with the FCC and FAA regulations for Northwest Pipeline GP.

Preference will be given to candidates that possess extensive knowledge with all communication media types including; terrestrial microwave, VHF, UHF, MAS, VSAT, VOIP, GPRS, WiMAX, 802.11, LTE, IMT-Advanced, fiber optic cabling (single/multi mode), copper telephony, and optical SONET systems.


Qualifications:
This position requires a minimum Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, from an accredited college of engineering with an emphasis in Radio Frequency and Communication network design. Must have or obtain a Professional Engineering license

Education Level: Bachelor's Level Degree

Relocation Information: Williams Corporation will pay relocation costs for this position.

Travel Percentage: Less than 25 %

Fair Labor Standards Act: FLSA exempt no overtime pay is due.
