Responsibilities: The Control Engineer provides high level tactical support to Four Corners Area operations and ensures that the hardware and software associated with PLC, DCS, Power, ESD, Analytical and other control systems are functioning properly, effectively and reliably. This position is also responsible for developing, implementing, optimizing and providing mentorship and training on control systems and associated software to insure optimal functionality and reliability while understanding future needs to insure continuous and effective improvement through the implementation of projects and programs.
Placement of engineer level will be determined based off experience.
Qualifications: -BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Chemical Engineering. -10 years experience in a plant environment as a Control Engineer. -Experience with design and start up of DCS, PLC and other controls systems. -Experience with design and utilization of industrial networks and communications. -Experience specifying, procuring and troubleshooting instrumentation including temperature, pressure, level, analytical, orifice flow, ultrasonic flow, mass flow, switches and valves. -Experience with design and troubleshooting of plant and compression facility safety systems. -Experience with design and troubleshooting of electrical generation and power distribution. -PC skills required to effectively communicate project design, objectives, procurement, status, reporting and documentation. -Must have knowledge of instrumentation, electronic, electrical and mechanical theory, and troubleshooting and repair techniques. -Must have good communications skills and experience leading and working in a team environment. -Must be able to function with minimal direction and excel at customer relations.
