Job Location: Salt Lake City, UT Job Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with the Office of Pipeline Safety regulations and ensure that the pipeline is operated in a safe manner. Review and interpret pipeline safety codes and make recommendations to other functional groups. Coodinate internal pipeline safety inspections, audits and Federal and State inspections. Responsible for implementation and compliance with integrity management program. Coordinate responses to agency advisory bulletins. Coach and mentor employees on technical development, special assignments, and our day to day compliance work. Review and approve written procedures for strength tests/upratings. Review and document MAOP's. Provide pipeline safety expertise as needed for the creation of programs and systems. Responsible for the development and maintenance of safety reports and manuals. Data mining and reporting for internal and external customers.
Position reports to the manager, Pipeline Safety West in Salt Lake City. Position will be filled at the level commensurate with knowledge and experience. Location is in Salt Lake City, UT.
Qualifications: This position will be filled as a Senior or higher depending on the successful candidate's qualifications. Must possess a BS in engineering. All Engineering disciplines will be considered. Must have knowledge of pipeline safety regulations and pipeline operations. Natural gas pipeline experience preferred. Must have excellent oral and written skills, ability to organize, coordinate and negotiate solutions as well as skills in computer applications are required. Must be able to instruct, analyze, evaluate, and provide technical interpretations while at the same time deal with ambiguity and development and maintain integrity and trust with internal and external customers.
Education Level: Bachelor's Level Degree
Relocation Information: Williams Corporation will pay relocation costs for this position.
Travel Percentage: 26 - 50 %
Fair Labor Standards Act: FLSA exempt no overtime pay is due.
