Responsibilities: This position is responsible for providing leadership to Midstream as it relates to operational compliance with environmental processes and requirements. This role works closely with field based environmental professionals and provides process coaching around Midstream's physical risk management process for environmental and the System Integrity Plan. This role provides guidance and expertise in supporting organizational SIP field improvement objectives as they relate to Midstream's Environmental Stewardship strategies. The Process Lead is accountable for establishment, ownership and continuous improvement of the environmental compliance process and will organize, oversee, maintain and ensure the accessibility of all associated environmental documentation, including but not limited to processes, procedures and forms. This role works closely with Operations and Technical Services field leadership to identify the appropriate level of supporting resources and to coordinate their interactions and results. This role has dotted line responsibility for the field based environmental professionals.
Key responsibilities include:
-Establishing, implementing and continuously improving the most effective methods by which to link Environmental Specialists' activities to Operations and the Operations Performance Group (OPG). -In conjunction with Operations leadership, determining appropriate staffing levels for Environmental Specialists necessary to support operating locations. -Effectively leading a group of remotely located environmental professionals, to include clear and regular communications, sharing of best practices and lessons learned and appropriate personnel development. This position shares with operations the accountability for assessing individual competencies. -Providing the day to day touch point for Midstream's Environmental Stewardship processes for the field based environmental professionals. -Translating environmental regulatory requirements into workable actions in the field that insure compliance. -Providing guidance and recommendations to Operations leadership as to how to respond to Notices of Violation (NOVs), and supporting the preparation of the appropriate response. -Creating and maintaining effective and productive relationships with those federal, state and local agencies with responsibility to oversee Midstream G&P assets. -Developing, maintaining and continuously improving the environmental compliance process. -In conjunction with Operations, maintaining an effective team of Environmental Specialists that will provide the most effective quantity and quality of support for Operations and the OPG. -Influencing, coaching and mentoring Operations and the OPG in the adoption and use of best environmental compliance practices and procedures (e.g., permit review and validation, record/document development, retention and access, etc.) intended to assist asset teams, departments and groups to remain compliant. -Providing feedback and recommendations to improve overall EMIS effectiveness.
This position may be located in Tulsa, Houston or Denver
Qualifications: Bachelors degree in an environmental science or other technical discipline from accredited college or university. 10+ years EHS management experience with some time in a formal leadership position preferred, previous Oil & Gas experience desired. Broad level of knowledge concerning industry codes, standards, and practices as well as legal requirements is required. Candidate must have or obtain a specific level of knowledge regarding Midstream's business strategies and operational functions to allow effective interaction with Operations leadership

This position will be filled at the posted level and within the salary range if commensurate to the experience (i.e., skills, knowledge, & abilities) of successful candidate; however if unable to be filled at this level, the position may be filled with a respective competitive market based on the experience of the selected candidate

Relocation Information: Williams Corporation will pay relocation costs for this position.
Travel Percentage: 26 - 50 %
