Responsibilities: Strong geological and geophysical background in development -exploitation operations handling multi-rig drilling programs. Geoscientist needed to work as part of a multidisciplinary team to develop and exploit Marcellus gas reserves. Experience and expertise in unconventional reservoirs required. Duties will involve well planning- supervision, oversight of geo-steering-well placement operations, basic seismic-geological interpretation, mud-logging, open-hole logging, seismic and micros-seismic planning, supervision and integration, support to completion planning, close-in acreage evaluation and purchase recommendations, support to A&D functions, and support to engineering-reserve analysis. Specific knowledge of Marcellus required or an equivalent experience in complex structural terrains. Preferred candidate will have petrophysical training or experience. The candidate will work in the Appalachia Asset team. Duties will include database creation, integrated geophysical and geological mapping, log-petrophysical analysis, and basic 2-D & 3-D seismic interpretation. Excellent interpersonal communication skills required as partner reviews and interaction are needed. Team player having the attributes of flexibility, high-energy and a leader by example is required. 25% travel required.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree required with a minimum 10 years experience. Minimum computer skills include the proficient use of SMT-Kingdom, Petra, IHS and Microsoft Office Tools. The candidate must be detailed oriented and possess overall strong organizational, communication, planning and computer skills. The candidate must be able to perform at a high level of technical competence, with a mindset to grow Marcellus gas reserves at acceptable economics.
