Responsibilities: - Manage E&C project group supervisors and indirect reports (project managers, construction managers and QA/QC managers) technically and administratively
- Ensure multiple capital projects are completed safely and achieve desired objectives by providing necessary level of oversight on scope development, vendor management, and risk management. Required oversight will vary based on complexity of the project and experience of the assigned staff.
- Accountable for technical decisions involving material cost and risks commensurate with Delegation of Authority and decisions involving collaborative solutions with multiple parties.
- Accountable for execution of project management within capital budgets for projects.
- Accountability for regulatory compliance of projects.
- Responsible for successful project development and implementation.
- Administrative management of direct reports
- Developing department processes, standards and goals
- Verification of technical adequacy developed for project plans.
Qualifications: - Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and work with subordinates by creating an atmosphere of mutual trust and commitment
- Familiarity with contract management and the ability to review / generate inputs to contracts with third parties such as engineering firms, and fabrication and installation contractors.
- Technical competency and familiarity with engineering, fabrication, installation and startup of offshore pipelines and facilities.
- Skilled working with others to assess problem areas and generate creative, yet technically feasible, solutions
- Very solid communication skills, both written and spoken
- Positive representative of the Company in public and private forums
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Petroleum or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent disciplines and sciences
- Additional minimum 15 years of supervising and managing teams of engineers performing configuration and detailed designs of offshore facilities. At least 10 of the 15 years specifically focused on managing the design of floating systems for deepwater offshore environments
- Minimum 10 years of detailed engineering design of offshore topsides facilities generally in the discipline of the degree and familiarity with design pertaining to all engineering disciplines.
- At least 5 of the 10 years specifically involved with facilities for deepwater offshore environments
- Broadly knowledgeable about fabrication and installation techniques and equipment for oil and gas developments in deepwater
- Experience or knowledge pertaining to offshore and onshore gathering systems and gas processing plants
- PE, PMI certification or comprehensive knowledge of PMI standards preferred
Education Level: Bachelor's Level Degree
