Responsibilities: Lead a professional team of project management employees in the development and execution of medium to large scale midstream projects. Recruit and develop project managers, project engineers, project controls and other employees as necessary to support continued growth. Provide engineering and project management support for commercial development activities including conceptual design, scoping, estimates and customer presentations. Develop and maintain relationships with third party resources necessary for project execution.
The Mgr, Projects is accountable for the following: -Overall accountability for the successful completion of E&C projects within established parameters -Ensure effective project management practices are utilized and aligned with Project Life Cycle concepts, supported by effective project administration methods. Transition completed projects into routine operating assets using SIP and PLC management processes. -Maintain effective inter-department communications and relationships to properly transition projects through each stage of development, construction, commissioning and optimization (with Operations, Commercial and customer organizations) -Develop, monitor and control capital and expense budgets within defined targets and amounts. -Communicate established Midstream Performance Metrics to assigned staff; develops goals and strategies in support of meeting Midstream performance metrics targets.

Contract Management -Develop & maintain strong and effective relationships with contractors. -Develop sound contracting strategies searching for competition while retaining quality.
Cost Management -Ensure consistent utilization of the PLC to ensure complete scope definition and realistic control estimates. -Establish strong project controls in costs and schedule for implementation. -Ensure consistent and accurate expense and capital forecasting.
Strategic Support -Identify opportunities and constraints of assets and workforce, and execute accordingly -Ensure align with Commercial and Operations organizations in pursuit of business unit strategies. -Provide guidance and input into conceptual definition of projects, modeling creativity and flexibility. -Develop effective relationships with major customers and integrate their needs into team and area goals and daily team performance
Qualifications: -Bachelor of Science Degree in engineering discipline required from an accredited university -10-15 years of experience working in the oil and gas industry including at least 5 years with an operating company and 5 years in a managerial capacity. -Professional Engineer registration is preferred -Graduate training or certification in construction project management (such as PMP) is helpful in this role -Experience in medium to large complex facility Project management (as an owner) required with direct experience in gas gathering and processing projects preferred -Requires contracting and relationship management experience with EPC firms -Understanding of budgeting and forecasting processes and economic evaluation tools -Technical and operating knowledge of gas gathering, processing and fractionation technologies and costs, to support development of engineering concepts and preliminary cost estimates during the pursuit of commercial opportunities.
