Responsibilities: Job responsibilities include assisting other engineers in technical aspects of the job in addition to performing job functions as a senior mechanical engineer. Interface with consultant engineering firms, internal engineering, drafting, purchasing, inspection, contracts, planning, and operations personnel. Develop project scopes, specifications for engineered equipment and specialty items for projects, project schedules, and cost estimates. Develop all required installation and construction drawings for project. Revise or validate the accuracy and completeness of all drawings, equipment, data/specification sheets, and job books/reference manuals. Direct and oversee all phases of detailed design when consultant engineering firms are utilized. Develop requests for quotes and requests for proposals for bidding engineered equipment and specialty items. Develop installation/construction scope of work for construction contract. Provide assistance in obtaining air and noise studies and all required permits. Assist in writing best practices and department procedures.
Qualifications: BS in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university. 8+ years of experience (natural gas pipeline experience preferred). EIT and/or Professional Engineer by exam preferred. Natural gas compressor station design experience preferred. Meter station, regulator station and natural gas heater design experience preferred. Registered with the National Council of Examiners For Engineering and Surveying or ability to become registered in multiple states.

Relocation Information: Williams Corporation will not pay relocation costs for this position.
Travel Percentage: 26 - 50 %
