Responsibilities:
The Fort McMurray LEP facility operations Field Technician focuses on day to day operation of the facility to insure reliable processing of rich coker offgas. This involves hands on responsibility for operation in regards to liquids extraction, product storage, product quality, plant safety, equipment and process reliability, process efficiency, and regulatory compliance. The role takes direction from supervision, but also is accountable for decision making to maintain  plant operation with minimal supervision.  This position will be flexible to cover all operations shifts as required to allow for training (mandatory or otherwise), vacation coverage (PTO), as well as provide support for scheduled or break-in maintenance, including outages and turnarounds.

- Maintain safe, reliable and efficient day-to-day operational monitoring and control of the Liquids Extraction and storage facilities on a 24/7 operating plant with minimal supervision

- Act in rotating roles to support outside plant operation (plant rounds, equipment checks, basic care and control of process), as well as control of the process as panel operator.  Interaction with outside feed providers is required

- Support plant maintenance through Safe Work Permitting system, equipment isolations, LOTO, contractor orientations, good housekeeping practices, etc.

- Perform various hands-on tasks to support operational and minor maintenance activities to maintain the facility

- Support / compliance to Williams business processes (System Integrity Plan, Management of Change, Asset Maintenance System, etc)

- Assisting with construction, commissioning and startup of new equipment and/or facilities


Qualifications:
- Five to ten years experience in energy industry
- Operations experience
- Experience in an oil sands facilities
- Comprehensive knowledge of facility operations, piping and asset capabilities

Preferred
- 4th Class (or greater) Power Engineer certificate or gas plant operator certification
- Advanced computer skills (Maximo or other CMMS)
- Maintenance experience

Salary is in Canadian Dollars
Successful candidate must be eligible to work in Canada.

There is a medical assessment required for this position, both pre and during employment, as position is considered a safety sensitive position


Education Level: High School Graduate or Equivalent

Relocation Information: Williams Corporation will pay relocation costs for this position.

Travel Percentage: Less than 25 %

Fair Labor Standards Act: FLSA nonexempt overtime pay is due.
