Responsibilities:
Reports to Asset Completions Manager and provides direction to the Completions technical team in Denver for the Piceance asset.  Drives technical innovation and efficiency and deliver on production results per the plan with an emphasis on cost efficiency.  Leads and/or conducts complex engineering studies and projects using advanced engineering knowledge and operational experience.  Makes independent decisions that are typically not subject to technical review.  Will train less experienced engineers and delegate work assignments.  Works with other departments to accomplish project objectives. 

Is expected to:
Manage a team of highly motivated Completions engineers assigned to a multi-rig drilling program.
Interview and hire Completions Engineers as business dictates.
Train and develop Completions Engineers and assess opportunities to cross train members of other teams.
Support field management, foremen, and completions engineers with technical, operational, and cost issues.
Identify, assign, monitor, and review field engineering studies and projects.
Lead team in production analysis techniques and project economics efforts.
Continuously search for, test, implement new ways to improve operations, well productivity, safety, and costs.
Be proficient in tight gas log analysis and hydraulic fracturing design, execution, and analysis.
Be responsible and accountable for Completions engineering activities including design and coordination, data analysis, optimization of a multi-rig drilling and completion program, workovers, and other asset enhancement projects.
Demonstrate experience in petroleum engineering tasks related to drilling, completions, workovers, design and specification, production optimization, and ongoing production and maintenance activities.
Demonstrate experience in well completions of tight multi-layered sandstone gas reservoirs, including fracture stimulation, perforating design, pad logistics, and wellbore remediation.
Demonstrate experience and ability in well-testing procedures and reservoir data analysis.
Demonstrate ability to coordinate and plan short and long-term work tasks to meet production, LOE, and capital budget goals. 
Communicate with manager, team members, and members of other teams within the asset.  Ensure accurate and timely reporting of critical activities.
Communicate with partners and regulators as needed.
Help Completions Engineers identify and assess workover candidates and implement improvements to help meet production targets.  Work with field production staff to identify candidates.
Improve asset operations by assessing new technologies, evaluating bids, and implementing cost-cutting measures.
Provide engineering assistance to Regulatory, Accounting, Production Engineering Technicians, and Field Administration.  This includes coordination and creation of new well and field infrastructure AFEs.
Assist with and coordinate regulatory-driven projects, including applications for reduced drilling density and environmental assessment packages.
Participate in annual budget process.
Make presentations to management as needed.
Participate in SPE and other industry functions as well as maintain industry contacts to be informed of applicable technological and operational advances.


Qualifications:
Ability to effectively manage and direct a team of professionals with diverse skills and personalities.
Deep knowledge of completions operations.
Excellent communication skills.
Well developed patterns of reasoning and logic needed to develop a potentially multi-faceted and fast paced program
Uses rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions
Leadership, motivational team-building skills a must
Makes good decisions based upon a mixture of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment
Creativity and the ability to work interdependently is mandatory
Rewards the right values and models the way with the Williams culture
Must possess keen negotiation skills 
Strong, demonstrated ability to work with people at all levels to assist with motivation, conflict resolution, development, and prioritization.

Bachelors degree Petroleum Engineering or related Engineering discipline with 10 years experience in the upstream petroleum industry.

Education Level: Bachelor's Level Degree

Relocation Information: Williams Corporation will pay relocation costs for this position.

Travel Percentage: Less than 25 %

Fair Labor Standards Act: FLSA exempt no overtime pay is due.
