Responsibilities:
The Senior Petroleum Engineer will be responsible and accountable for completion and production engineering activities including design and coordination, data analysis, optimization of a multi-rig drilling and completion program, workovers, and other asset enhancement projects.  Skills and experience in production surveillance, gas well dewatering, and operational engineering aspects of field optimization and "value engineering" cost control.

1) Demonstrates experience in petroleum related engineering tasks related to drilling, completions, workovers, design and specification, production optimization, and ongoing production and maintenance activities.
(2) Demonstrates experience in well completions of horizontal tight gas reservoirs, including fracture stimulation, perforating design, pad logistics, and wellbore remediation.  Horizontal well completion experience a plus but not mandatory.
(3) Demonstrates experience and ability in well-testing procedures and reservoir data analysis.
(4) Demonstrates ability to coordinate and plan short and long-term work tasks to meet production, LOE, and capital budget goals.  Communicates with direct supervisor and team members.  Ensures accurate and timely reporting of critical activities.
(5)  Continually identify and assess workover candidates throughout the year and implement improvements to help achieve production targets. 
(6) Work to continuously improve asset operations, including new technologies, bid evaluations, and cost-cutting measures.
(7)  Provides engineering assistance to Regulatory, Accounting, Production Engineering Technicians, and Field Administration.  This includes coordination and creation of new well AFEs.
(8) Assist with and coordinate regulatory-driven projects, including applications for reduced drilling density and environmental assessment packages.
(9) Familiarity with project economics and related software a plus.
(10) Candidate must demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills to handle multiple tasks with changing and conflicting responsibilities and accountabilities.  Must be self-motivated and an enthusiastic team player capable of completing tasks in a group environment. 
(11) Ability to serve as a mentor to less experienced engineers and engineering technicians.


Qualifications:
Position requires a bachelors degree in engineering  and a minimum of 10 years of experience including completions and workovers of tight gas reservoirs, production surveillance and operations engineering related field optimization and value engineering cost control and reservoir analysis of multilayered tight-gas reservoirs.  Horizontal well experience a plus.    Successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks

This position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.


Education Level: Bachelor's Level Degree

Relocation Information: Williams Corporation will not pay relocation costs for this position.

Travel Percentage: 26 - 50 %

Fair Labor Standards Act: FLSA exempt no overtime pay is due.
