Responsibilities: This position will be located in the Houston office.
Support field operations and other company personnel with technical expertise in the areas of gas storage facilities, LNG Peak Shaving Facilities, gas treating, salt dome storage, and storage reservoirs. Provide technical support and training for company personnel in areas of gas storage including gas injection gas withdrawal and gas treating. Provide operational guidance and technical support to Division, Facilities Planning, District and Engineering staff on gas storage issues. Works with other Companies that operate gas storage facilitates that WGP has an interest in. Assist in developing and the review of WGP O&M Policies and Procedures. Storage Performance
Analyze and monitor existing storage fields to ensure deliverability and capacity meets mandatory contractual performance. Design and implement solutions to resolve any deficiencies and to ensure existing high levels of performance. . Track winter performance and compare historically . Design and implement remediation and enhancement strategies to maintain or improve storage field performance . Utilize reservoir modeling as an analysis tool . Design and implement surface facility modifications . Oversee on-site well operations, 1) well testing, 2) well logging, 3) frac and coiled tubing stimulations, and 4) workover operations including rig work
Ensure highest levels of base and top gas retention. Monitor fields for possible reservoir losses. Track and report existing inventory variances. . Schedule semi-annual reservoir pressure testing . Schedule and analyze cavern sizing surveys and sonar sounding surveys for cavern volume calculation . Calculate gas in place and determine gas retention . Report any reservoir gas losses and work with appropriate departments concerning financial treatment . Propose and implement wellbore and surface facility solutions to ensure maximum retention
Design and implement plans to ensure wellbore and in-field gathering system integrity. Resolve underground casing and wellbore deficiencies. . Design and implement monitoring programs including, 1) wellbore corrosion logging, 2) salt creep monitoring, 3) downhole videos, and 4) surface systems internal/external integrity monitoring . Resolve deficiencies through well workovers, cement squeezes and well P&As as required . Plan and budget for in-field line re-coat and facility replacements
Qualifications: Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, and Geology (oil and gas emphasis) disciplines will be considered. Drilling and reservoir experience preferred. Must have good oral and written skills, ability to organize, coordinate and negotiate solutions. Ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects. Knowledge and proficiency in the use of personal computers and Microsoft Office products. Strong team player with willingness to learn and share assignments. The level will commensurate with experience.

Relocation Information: Williams Corporation will not pay relocation costs for this position.
Travel Percentage: 26 - 50 %
