Responsibilities:
Provide high level assistance within the Piceance Permitting Team, with the capability to assume responsibility for the full-cycle of the well permitting process.  This spectrum includes, but is not limited to, planning for and securing permits necessary to develop on federal, fee and state lands in Colorado in Garfield and Rio Blanco Counties.  This position will interact with federal and state regulators on a continual basis and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations pertaining to well permitting.  The position will play a key role in team planning efforts.

Review of well survey and pad layout data, as needed, confirming well placement legality from COGCC spacing orders, policies and rule and regulations.
Actively participate in and contribute to planning processes for field development.
Timely preparation and submittal of state and federal APDs, Completion Reports, Sundry Notices, and applications for re-completions and remedial well work.  Includes preparation of Form 2A.
Coordinate work with environmental, planning and operations staff in Parachute field office.
Monitor and track tasks associated with securing permits.


Qualifications:
Five years minimum previous experience as a regulatory analyst/specialist in oil & gas.
Three to five years prior experience working with the BLM in the Rockies, NEPA knowledge a plus.
Strong working knowledge of Onshore Oil and Gas Order No. 1 a must, basic working knowledge of Orders 2, 3 and 7 preferred.
Strong working knowledge of Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission Rules and Regulations as applicable to securing permits to drill.
Good working knowledge of land, drilling, and production field operations.
Team player able to successfully work with federal, state, and county regulatory agencies as well as internal professional staff.
Ability to prioritize and focus on multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Demonstrated capability in Microsoft Office Suite products, e.g. Excel, Work, etc.
Knowledge of WebCore, Petra, ArcView a plus.
Solid understanding of basic drilling, completion, production and land operations.
Bachelors Degree in related discipline.

Relocation Information: Williams Corporation will not pay relocation costs for this position.
