Responsibilities: Provide technical safety services for E&P operations in geographical area of responsibility including compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations. Incumbent reports to the Regional EH&S Sr. Manager.
Essential Job Functions: The Staff Safety Representative will conduct and coordinate the employee health and safety programs in assigned areas of responsibility. This position shares accountability with area management for the effective implementation and performance of safety and compliance initiatives, and will also participate in the development of new programs. Duties will include developing and presenting safety training, conducting safety audits/reviews and inspections in accordance with Company safety programs and OSHA rules/guidelines, providing all facets of technical safety support, continually reviewing accident statistics and determining the effectiveness of existing policies and programs, evaluating and recommending ways to enhance the company's safety performance. Supports an atmosphere that encourages employee accountability and involvement in safety, participating in safety committee meetings, conducting Contractor Meetings, and partnering with the employees and management of E&P to achieve safety excellence. This position is responsible for being the liaison for E&PWAY in assigned areas. Candidate will be required to travel frequently to field locations.
Qualifications: A degree in an Occupational Health, Industrial Safety, or Sciences is desired, as well as 10+ years E&P safety experience. Professional certification (CSP, ASP) is preferred. Significant emergency response experience including Incident Command required. Must have a working knowledge of OSHA standards and their application to the design, construction, and operations of E&P facilities. Demonstrated ability in establishing positive working relationships, effective presentation and facilitation skills; collaborative decision-making and conflict resolution skills, ability to adjust and adapt to changing situations. Other requirements include excellent interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and communication skills and the ability to accomplish desired results with limited direction.

Relocation Information: Williams Corporation will not pay relocation costs for this position.
