Responsibilities: The Tax Analyst III at Williams is a highly experienced tax preparer focused on preparing complex tax returns and recording the effect of income taxes in the financial statements. Main areas of responsibilities and key activities include but are not limited to:
- Gathering and analyzing information needed for federal tax compliance and accounting for income taxes - Researching tax issues as necessary - Preparing federal tax returns - Reviewing tax returns prepared by others - Identifying tax issues and potential tax savings - Completing federal tax compliance with appropriate accuracy and timeliness - Preparing, analyzing and/or recording tax entries needed for financial statements, including reconciling balance sheet accounts where tax entries are recorded - Responding to notices and general inquiries - Assisting in the response to audit inquiries
Qualifications: The Tax Analyst III position requires at a minimum a Bachelor's degree in accounting or taxation and 4-6 years of related experience. A CPA and/or experience with a public accounting is preferred. Previous experience filing tax returns is strongly preferred. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as an in-depth knowledge of tax compliance.
This position will be filled at a level commensurate with the selected candidate's qualifications and experience.
