Responsibilities: Shall ensure gas production is optimized to reach production goals. Will exhibit a fair understanding of the complexities of gas well production operations, including: surface equipment, surface electrical and electronic controls, orifice meter runs, mechanical and electronic gas flow measurement. Will have a working knowledge of production data gathering, reporting and record keeping. May be directed by the Lead Technician and shall work closely with the appropriate personnel to ensure timely and accurate data reporting.
Job Duties shall include: Ability to perform gas production operations, to include: daily job duties, special data gathering tasks, well/pod start-ups, and/or well optimization tasks. May include some physical labor to perform certain tasks relating to wellhead piping and ancillary equipment, orifice meter runs, facilities maintenance, and other maintenance tasks to repair, replace or remove equipment or piping. Includes exposure to low pressure natural gas that is odorless, colorless, tasteless and highly combustible. Ability to work closely with Production Team for gas production optimization must be able to perform in cross-functional environment, taking direction from immediate supervisor. Demonstrate capability to perform production operation job tasks for multiple well assignments over a large remote geographic area. Job tasks include: wellhead plunger operation and data gathering, piping and component leak repair, working knowledge of electronic controls to optimize gas production, limited-risk electrical trouble shooting, working knowledge of orifice meter run gas measurement with dry chart and electronic gas flow measurement devices, working knowledge of telemetry systems and PC work station, working knowledge of header dump valves, line check vales, ball valves, relief valves, header and miscellaneous piping systems, proficiency in accurate and timely production data reporting as required, working knowledge of gas gathering and piping systems between wells and pods and pods and compressors. Will assist in weekend duties and will relief pump during vacation periods in immediate and all other areas as needed. Will be instrumental in pilot start-ups.
Qualifications: Minimum 1 year experience Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills to handle multiple tasks with changing and inconsistent responsibilities and accountabilities. Must be self-motivated and an enthusiastic team player capable of completing tasks with some direction of others to meet sensitive deadlines and production goals.The ability to work in temperatures between -10 and 30 degrees Fahrenheit on a daily basis.
Education Level: High School Graduate or Equivalent
