Primary Objectives of Position

The Technical Sales Associate is designed to familiarize you with all facets of Computypes capabilities, markets/associated offering, and sales process. This position gives exposure to all relevant areas and disciplines of sales, internal production capabilities and operations so when you are out selling our products, you feel knowledgeable and supported by a technical team. The position is a great opportunity for someone with an interest to develop a career in Technical Sales and beyond.

Computype has an excellent sales training program to help a new associate learn the business and the technical nature of the products. While this role will work remotely, there will be a portion of training that occurs in the St Paul manufacturing facility.

Major Areas of Accountability

Learning the business and gains knowledge in;

  • The Computype business and associated value we bring to our customers.
  • Our customer markets and applications.
  • Our products, solutions, and associated technologies we offer.
  • Computype sales processes and tools including SalesForce, LinkedIn etc
  • Penetrating accounts and targets to identify and qualify opportunities.

Successfully completing the sales training and teaming with internal personnel to learn our technologies and associated offerings.

Learning the sales process by calling on existing/ new accounts; adhering to established sales steps under the guidance of Technical Sales Managers

Building and maintaining personal networks; participating in sales and marketing organizations.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors degree in a technical or business-related field.

Minimum 2 years in a customer centric role; B2B sales preferred

Excellent written, video based and verbal communication.

Ability to work independently and learn quickly

Ability to effectively interact with and work as part of a cross-functional team.

Computer skills (use of CRM (Sales Force) Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Willingness to relocate or travel.
