Apply now!! Position Summary: This position is responsible for providing and coordinating education and training for staff to become MAP certified. What You Will Be Doing to Make a Difference in Our Programs... Conducts reviews of medication administration practices in each MAP site Observes certified staff administering medication to verify correct MAP policies, procedures and protocols are being followed Verifies authorized prescribers orders are on site, current, and properly transcribed Verifies medication dispensed by the pharmacy corresponds with medications prescribed by the authorized prescriber Verifies all medication is being administered in accordance with authorized prescribers written order Verifies medications are being properly procured and stored Ensures current Massachusetts Controlled Substance Registration (MCSR) and proper documentation of all Certified staff administering medication are available at all MAP sites Reviews documentation of medications being administered at each site; ensures proper clinical protocols are in place and observed Salary/Benefits-Bay State Community Services recognizes all the hard work of our staff and provides outstanding benefits including: Competitive compensation 11 paid holidays Outstanding Health and Dental Benefits 403(b) Retirement Plan with employer match Life and Short and Long-Term Disability Insurance Medical FSA and Dependent Care Account Mileage for all employees that drive for BSCS as part of their job responsibility Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Voluntary Short-Term Disability Plan Voluntary Vision Plan Career Ladder and Job Advancement Schedule: This position is part-time and works 20 hours per week .Requirements:Qualifications/Credentials Licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Meets applicable requirements for a MAP trainer in order to instruct all components of the standardized curriculum leading to MAP certification Ability to develop training curriculum and execute delivery of materials to staff Prior experience working with an adolescent population in a residential setting preferred Able to learn, carry out and be certified in MAP, CPR and first aid Basic computer and word processing skills Excellent communication and record keeping skills Cooperative and works well as part of a multidisciplinary team Valid MA driver's license with acceptable driving record and current proof of insurance Acceptable CORI, SORI and DEEC background record check including fingerprinting Bay State Community Services is committed to diversity, inclusion, and social justice.
