Equipment Sales Representative (Salem/ Albany)

Norlift of Oregon, Inc. is Hiring!

We are looking for an Equipment Sales Representative to promote and develop business opportunities (new, used, rentals, warehouse products, aftermarket) in the Salem/ Albany area, of our represented equipment lines to preset targets agreed with the Sales Manager.

Essential Functions of the Equipment Sales Representative:

Develop and promote new business opportunities with new customers in the new, used, rental, warehouse and aftermarket products.

Service and expand business with established customer relationships.

Sell service maintenance contracts and other value add opportunities.

Meet sales targets on new trucks, used trucks, short term rental, warehouse products, and operator training within a specified territory.

Provide account productivity reports for all larger customers / prospects.

Implement innovative selling tactics to secure profitable business.

Knowledgeable of developments within the material handling industry.

Consistently achieve revenue and profit goals.

Actively participate in all regular sales meetings on a monthly basis.

Ensure that the company standards and policies are maintained, particularly with regards to behavioral and commercial dealings.


The expectations of the Equipment Sales Representative Include:

Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance.

Maintain a safe driving record while driving

Respectfully takes direction from Sales Manager.

Works well alone and collaboratively in a team environment with a positive attitude

provide excellent customer service and maintain existing relationships

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Short-term and long-term planning skills

Ability to learn and comply with all Federal, State, and Norlift employment regulations or policies.

The Knowledge, Skills and Ability of the Equipment Sales Representative Include:

Direct sales experience, preferably capital goods equipment

Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills and ability to have effective communication when working with customer or employee.

Ability to quickly establish rapport and positive working relationships.

Ability to effectively utilize established selling strategies and processes.

Ability to develop and manage new territory.

Experienced user of Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Windows 7 & 10, Word and Excel.

PC and technology literate including proprietary business system and CRM.

Self-directed and conscientious, team player, self-reliant, excellent judgment.

Professional appearance and demeanor.

Good work characteristics which include sound judgment, strong initiative, and ability to move focus quickly from one task to another.
