ON CALL:
Every 4th weekend. And on rotation with all the providers for overnight call
You will report to the Director.

FOR THOSE WITH EXPERIENCE:
This person will have opportunity to work to develop a clinical practice for high risk screening and long term follow up/survivorship clinic.
The other opportunity is to see patients prior to chemo and drop in patients to keep them out of the ED
For those without experience they will rotate with all 3 docs to train and then get an assignment


RESPONSIBILITIES:
Every practitioner at the time of appointment and continuously thereafter, must demonstrate clinical competence to the satisfaction of the medical staff and the board of the hospital in which privileges are sought.
Visual and auditory acuity with or without adaptive devices.
Ability to organize personal work and maintain patient flow
Ability to give sound guidance and direction to others involved in care of cancer patients.
Ability to work independently and autonomously.
Ability to make good decisions.
Critical listening skills and ability to communicate clearly.
Follows NCCN clinical practice guidelines.
Commitment to update skills constantly and proficient use of resources.
Desire to work with all types of people and work as a team member.
Good interpersonal skills.
Basic computer skills required.


ABOUT THE AREA:
Watertown is located in the northern part of upstate New York. The area offers lush farmlands, miles of waterfront, acres of forests, quaint villages, a booming commercial center, and of course, Fort Drum, home to the 10th Mountain Division, one of the most deployed divisions in the Army. For the outdoorsman, picturesque scenery of the Adirondacks opens the way to the 1,000 Islands region bordered by New York and Canada. A sightseers paradise and a popular destination for those looking for authentic outdoor activities. Boating, fishing, rafting, hiking, camping and so much more.

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIREMENTS:
Graduate of approved course of study and experience acceptable to the State Education Department.
Oncology patient care experience preferred.
Training and experience must be within the scope of practice and working with the collaborating Oncologist to whom they are assigned.
Must be certified to test and counsel HIV patients.
Documentation of continued State registration must be submitted to the medical staff secretary.
BLS certification required. PALS and ACLS preferred.
Current NYS RN and NP license. OCN or AOCN at hire or within 3 years.

Education:
University - Master`s Degree
