Position Overview:

 

Shift: All Shifts

  • Applies wet finishes or dry finishes to concrete members as required by shop cards.
  • Machines, Tools, and Equipment Used: Hand float, bull float, finishing hammer, tape measure, grout pail, knee pads, gloves, hard hat, safety glasses, dust mask, face shield, torch, side grinder, etc..
  • Materials Used: Sand, cement, water, spray paint, etc.
  • Be able to use trowel machine.

Position Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
