Position Summary
This position practices in collaboration with our Hospitalist team of Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers to provide care for hospitalized patients in the inpatient setting. Care may include physical exams, diagnostic studies, prescribing medications/treatments, consulting on patient management plans, and making referrals. The incumbent must have effective communications skills with patients, coworkers and physicians. This position spends the majority of time standing (up to 60% of work time) with frequent walking of short distances (up to 20% of work time.)

Licenses/Certifications Required
Unencumbered APRN licensure with Acute Adult Gerontology as a primary focus

Specific Educational and Skill Competencies Required
AR license as a RN and registration as a nurse practitioner are required. Prior experience as a nurse practitioner with a background in internal medicine is strongly preferred.
