Abbott Diabetes Care seeks qualified Embedded SW Eng in Alameda, CA. Design & implement embedded SW used in med devices. Bachelors or foreign equiv in Comp Science, Electrical Eng or in rltd fld of study w/ min 3 yrs of rltd pro exp. Must possess exp in: (i) developing embedded SW using programming languages, incl C, C++, & Python; (ii) writing code using RTOS on microcontroller (MCU) devices; (iii) preparing SW design requirements & detailed design specs for implementation of embedded SW designs; (iv) WiFi, BLE or other radio networking device connectivity; (v) peripheral device I/O & configuration in embedded C language applications including direct register access and usage; (vi) optimizing designs for power usage, code size &/or memory requirements in real world apps; & (vii) software verification & validation (V&V), incl using in-circuit debuggers & emulators for troubleshooting designs.
