Opening for “Specialist, Supply Chain Systems,” with and at Beam Therapeutics, Inc., headquartered at 238 Main Street, Cambridge, MA 02142. The primary location out of which this role is based is at Beam’s manufacturing facility located at 10 Davis Drive, Durham, NC 27709 (Durham County). This is a permanent, immediately available, job opportunity that does not require travel.  Must live in the City of Durham, or within a reasonable, daily commuting distance thereof (e.g., areas contemplated can include the City of Raleigh, the larger Greater Raleigh-Durham region, or Wake Forest and Chapel Hill communities).  Note that telecommuting (exclusively working remotely from home), it is not permitted. Role is not a supervisory role and does not have subordinate, direct reports. This is a hands-on, individual contributor position. Job description follows.

Manage SAP S/4HANA operations, including change controls, upgrades, enhancements, and daily system functionality, while working independently and across teams. Provide implementation and ongoing support for the ERP solution, lead Sustainment support meetings, and serve as liaison between users and support teams. Support manufacturing operations during critical periods, resolve system issues, and ensure system stability. Develop MRP system requirements, conduct end-user training, generate metrics and reports using data mining, and lead SAP integration across multiple business units. Optimize SAP processes, maintain master data, audit records for standardization, and support a collaborative and lean working environment.; and               

Requires a Bachelor’s Degree, or foreign equivalent, in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, genomics, bioinformatics, or closely related field. Also requires five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in all of the following areas: (a) Material Requirements Planning (MRP) with proficiency in data-driven decision making, information management, and supply chain optimization; (b) inventory and warehouse management utilizing  SAP S/4HANA Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software platform; (c) data warehousing, analysis, reporting and statistical data mining using one of the following Business Intelligence systems, to wit: (1) Power BI; or, (2) Tableau; or, (3) MS Visio; and, (d) managing and optimizing data and information across various systems and processes utilizing governance and integration frameworks.
