Software Engineer for Equifax Inc. in Alpharetta, GA, to develop Java code for services and applications; participate in gathering and reviewing business requirements; use object-oriented techniques and software engineering best practices for coding, unit-testing and re-factoring; research cutting-edge technologies to find technical solutions to business problems; assist with deployments; provide support for production issues by identifying software issues and developing fixes; develop software using Java, Spring framework, Maven, Jenkins, unit testing, Mongo DB and AWS; create specifications and designs for new or existing software products that that improve or enhance new or existing product offerings; perform code quality checks and code quality improvement using SONAR, Nexus IQ; provide guidance to others as a project manager using technical expertise; develop work plans for short-term assignments and use expertise to develop ways to differentiate EFX from its competitors; build and maintain an understanding of industry trends and uses knowledge to identify factors that differentiate Equifax from its competitors; participate in Sprint planning, estimations, backlog grooming by actively discussing and analyzing requirements; apply a new perspective on existing solutions to solve complex problems, analyzing multiple sources of information; make decisions within guidelines and policies that impact a range of customer, operational, process, or project activities; build support and agreement; perform active development on CPT UI, CI configuration service and Backbone and multiple other applications using Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Spring cloud, Docker, Angular framework, Primefaces UI, Mongo DB, REST API, Kubernetes, Jenkins and Nexus and deploy them on GCP, AWS and on prem servers with active-active, blue green and autoscaling; perform code reviews on Bit Bucket and Github repos; and write JUnit, Integration and automation test cases to improve code coverage and maintainability.
 
Requirements: 

Master's degree in computer engineering, computer science or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus three (3) years of experience as a Software Engineer or related occupation in Software Development or, alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus five (5) years of experience as a Software Engineer or related occupation in Software Development. Specific skills/other requirements - Must also possess the following (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): Java/object-oriented programming; Spring Framework (Spring Boot or Spring Rest) and Angular; CI/CD using Maven and Jenkins; performing quality checks of code to improve code quality using SONAR and Nexus IQ; GitHub; and Docker.
