Job Details:

Software Engineer for Equifax Inc. in St. Louis, MO, (Multiple Positions Available) to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software, including debugging, diagnosing and trouble-shooting complex production software. Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and project work; maintain the ability to translate functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture and design, requiring extensive understanding of BDD/TDD practices, code review and analysis techniques, and open source agile testing frameworks. Participate in code and design reviews to maintain our high development standards while also writing high quality, maintainable and robust code. Leverage experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP and to deploy and automate infrastructure/applications using Chef, RPM, Docker, AWS (ECS, ECR), Terraform, etc. Maintain overall system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance. Work closely with product owners, UX and other business partners to define work for the team throughout software development lifecycles, including CI/CD. Mentor other engineers to lead in defining challenging technical culture and assist in building a fast-growing team.

Requires:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus six years of experience as a Software Engineer or related occupation in software development or, alternatively, a Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus four years of experience as a Software Engineer or related occupation in software development. Specific skills/other requirements - Must also possess the following (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): Source code control management systems: SVN, Git, or Subversion; Agile development and CI/CD using Maven or Jenkins; Spring Framework technologies (Spring Boot or Hibernate), or, SQL/NoSQL database technologies; Cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, or Azure; Configuration automation tools: Chef, Puppet, Ansible, or Salt Stack; At least 4 of the following: Java, J2EE, Python, Go, Perl, Ruby, C, C++, Micro services, JMS, XML, Kubernetes, Chef, Terraform, Cassandra or Postgres; and At least 3 of the following logging and monitoring tools: Splunk, Grafana, GCP Stack driver, Apigee, Dynatrace, or App dynamics.
