SAP Business Analyst II – MM and PP

Position Overview:

Under the direction of the SAP Manager, the SAP Business Analyst II, is someone who performs a variety of SAP business analyst duties in accordance with company policies and procedures. Duties include providing ongoing support to SAP business users, analyzing current SAP business processes and making suggestions for improvements within SAP, developing specifications and/or programming enhancements to SAP, and assisting as appropriate with implementing new SAP modules. This is a non-supervisory position.




Responsibilities:

Materials Management:

Materials Master Data:

  • Provide functional information about Material Master data, complete mass updates, resolve issues and support process changes and enhancements
  • Create queries and assist with reporting issues

Purchasing:

  • Provide functional information for the Purchasing module, including maintenance of Source Lists and Purchasing Info Records, Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Order Processing
  • Support Add-On ALE processes and programs
  • Diagnose and resolve issues; completing mass updates and configuration changes as needed
  • Assist with process changes and enhancements
  • Create queries and assist with reporting and printing issue resolution

Inventory Management:

  • Provide support for SAP Inventory Management, including goods receipts for inbound deliveries, stock transfers and physical inventory


Quality Management:

Master Data:

  • Provide functional information about master data, including inspection plans inspection characteristics, sampling schemes, dynamic modification rule, and assigning materials to an inspection plan.
  • Complete mass updates as needed

Inspections and Usage Decisions:

  • Diagnose and resolve issues with inspection lots, recording results and completing usage decisions
  • Assist with process changes and enhancements

Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)/Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCARs):

  • Diagnose and resolve issues with Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR) functionality.
  • Assist with reporting and printing issue resolution


Production Planning:

  • Define, configure, test and deploy SAP best practice solutions for assembly process, including master data maintenance for BOM, Routings, Work centers.
  • Implements new or maintain existing business solution in SAP PP area based on user requirements analysis
  • Propose program changes/fixes for existing custom reports and interfaces.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to MRP & Backflush.


Warehouse Management:

Parts Inventory Management:

  • Diagnose and resolve issues with parts placements into storage bins, including Transfer Orders for stock transfers and inbound and outbound deliveries

Cycle Counting:

  • Diagnose and resolve issues with cycle counting process
  • Maintain background jobs and resolve printing issues


BASIS:

  • Troubleshoot SAP system problems and coordinate with JHT IT department to correct.
  • Help end users resolve SAP GUI client problems
  • Manage and correct user security issues.

ABAP:

  • Troubleshoot and track functional issues with customized programs in SAP

GuiXT (Barcoding):

  • Create new, or modify existing, GuiXT programs.
  • Improve convenience for user operation
  • Troubleshoot and resolve posting failure problems

Training:

  • Provide training for known and new processes as required.

Maintain Work Practices:

  • Tasks associated with maintaining compliance with 5S standards for common areas: Sort Set in order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain

Marginal Job Functions:

  • Complete special projects as required
.Requirements:


Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field required
  • MBA, CPA or additional training in ERP or SAP preferred

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of MRP / ERP experience required
  • Minimum 3 SAP implementations for MRP / ERP FI, CO, AA, MM, WM, QM, SD modules required
  • At least 1 full life cycle MRP / ERP implementation required
  • Multiple SAP implementations preferred
  • ABAP Programming experience preferred

Other Requirements:

  • Advanced computer skills required
  • Advanced working knowledge of Windows servers, computer networking and PC hardware required
  • Occasional travel may be required. Travel may be abroad and for less than one month each time.
