Administer, test, and implement computer databases for establishing new IT systems as well as to improve existing IT systems, applying knowledge of database management systems and analytical processes. Coordinate changes to computer databases. Identify, investigate, and resolve database performance issues, database capacity, and database scalability to meet business requirements of customer organizations. Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard computer databases. Modify existing databases and database management systems or direct programmers and analysts to make changes. Specify users and user access levels for each segment of database. Test changes to database applications or systems. Test programs or databases, correct errors, and make necessary modifications. Train users and answer questions. Provide technical support to junior staff or clients, including translating business needs to technical requirements. Develop standards and guidelines for the use and acquisition of software and to protect vulnerable information. Develop data models describing data elements and how they are used, following procedures and using pen, template, or computer software. Review procedures in database management system manuals to make changes to database. Identify and evaluate industry trends in database systems to serve as a source of information and advice for upper management. Review workflow charts developed by programmer analyst to understand tasks computer will perform, such as updating records. Revise company definition of data as defined in data dictionary. Position may include additional duties that utilize the required skills.
Required Qualifications:
- Requires a Bachelor of Science degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field. Must have five years of progressive, post baccalaureate experience as a Software Engineer, Computer Systems Analyst, Systems Analyst, Application Designer, or related position. Experience must include:
- Analyzing systems requirements, designing an integrated IT infrastructure plan, leading IT strategic and operational planning, and providing IT Business Analysis for customer requested enhancements, bugs, and troubleshooting on assigned IT business applications, and new IT development projects.
- Developing continuous integration environments and creating fully automated builds for software products and applications with Structure Query Language (SQL) s Tableau and ArcGIS Online systems, Power BI;
- Developing an enterprise integration ecosystem by integrating enterprise applications, and building a service-oriented architecture (SOA) utilizing Microsoft Visual Studio Team Foundation Server;
- Analyzing third party tools and software, including TFS(Team Foundation Server), Zsure DevOps Server, JIRA, as well as providing recommendations based on analysis; and liaison between the stakeholders, development and testing teams for Functional Requirements gathering for project initiation, planning, implementation, testing deployment and maintenance phase; and
- Performing build engineering and defining dependencies in quality assurance, pre-production, and production environments utilizing build tools.
Telecommuting permitted up to 90%; employee must reside within the State of Washington.

Vacation leave accrual will be proportionate to the number of hours in pay status, in the month to that required for full-time employment. Entitled to three (3) days of paid bereavement leave.
Salary: $107,640.00 - $109,848.00/Year
