ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNICIAN AIR PROGRAM
The Environmental Technician will work with facility operations and the environmental department, executing and maintaining site compliance with regulatory requirements at the INVISTA Victoria Plant Nylon Intermediates manufacturing facility.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop, implement and support data collection systems used to demonstrate environmental performance
Review process data for compliance demonstration on a periodic basis and document all potential deviations
Ensure visual inspections are performed as required, review inspection records and prepare necessary documentation
Gather, review, and maintain records associated with required inspections.
Perform data entry tasks associated with inspection records
Participate in periodic compliance self-assessments and assist in the preparation of necessary documentation
Manage environmental samples and maintain sampling programs
Calibrate, maintain and ensure the proper use of monitoring instruments
Perform wastewater sampling, cooling water sampling and conduct visible emission monitoring as required
Use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) products in daily activities with basic level Microsoft Excel skills such as creating and editing documents and tables in Word, creating and modifying spreadsheets in Excel and entering data and running reports using Access
Report any Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) incidents per corporate/site guidelines
Participate in EHS Audits of Victoria
Participate in third party facility audits
BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience in plant operations in an industry-related environment
Basic level Microsoft Excel skills; such as creating and editing documents and tables in Word, creating and modifying spreadsheets in Excel and entering data and running reports using Access
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS PREFERRED:
Bachelors degree Environmental Science or related field
Previous experience with Environmental regulatory compliance requirements
Experience relative to environmental compliance programs, particularly Benzene Waste operations NESHAP (BWON)
Operations experience in a chemical/petrochemical plant environment
Microsoft Access database management and development experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (with or without reasonable accommodation) AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must be able to view job sites in the field which may include climbing stairs in an operating unit
Must be able to work extended periods of time within ergonomic guidelines on computer (i.e., data entry and processing)
Must be willing to work periodic workdays in excess of 8 hours as required by the business
Must be able to work in all weather conditions for various periods of time throughout the year
Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
